For over forty (40) years the Evening Division of St. Andrew Technical High School has empowered thousands of Jamaicans with academic and technical knowledge and vocational skills.  The school has given persons of all ages a “second chance” to complete their high school education.  Many have used the opportunity to qualify themselves with knowledge, marketable skills and certification that have enabled them to enter the world of work . Others have qualified themselves with academic subjects that enable them to enter tertiary institution for professional training.

 Application
Application Forms are available at the General Office. All prospective students must fill out an evening school Application Form and return the completed form along with Bank Vouchers to the General Office.  Applicant must be at least 17 years old.

Registration
Registration for classes takes place within the month of September.  All students must be registered at the General Office.  Registered students will receive a time-table which should be shown to subject teachers for admission to class.

Attendance
To benefit from the programme a student must attend classes regularly and complete class and home assignments. The school operates within an academic year which starts from September and ends in May.  Classes are held Mondays to Thursdays between the hours of  5:00pm – 8:00pm.

Certification (Courses Only)
To be eligible for a certificate of completion from the school, a student must attend at least 80% of the duration of the course.  He/She should have attained a minimum average grade of 45% in all subject areas.
