4h

The 4-H club was founded in the year 1940.  The club was mainly to develop young agriculture farmers in the parish of Clarendon, but as time goes by it move to other parishes across the island.

4-H Club is a voluntary organization that is open to all individuals from age 5 upwards.

The main purpose of the Club is to develop clubites in

  • Leadership training
  • Home Economics
  • Art
  • Public Speaking
  • Socialization
  • Agriculture

The club also has an annual base host

  • Camps
  • Trips
  • Youth Expo

ACHIEVEMENTS

National Achievement

From 2006- present the school has the National Junior Leader President  (Dwayne McKoy)
 (Dwayne Mckoy is presently in Sixth Form)

The Club Leader- Mr. Glenroy Williams was selected as National Leader Association Public Relation Officer

Region Achievement

In 2008, the school represent Kingston and Southern St. Andrew at the region Youth Expo

* Jodian Brown was placed     2nd    in One Pot Meal
* Fabian Brown was placed     3rd     for Farm Machine
* Dwayne McKoy was placed 3rd    for Bee Keeping


Parish Achievement

Mr. Glenroy Williams, ST.ATHS 4-H Leader was selected as the Treasurer for the Kingston Parish Advisor Council on October 16, 2009

Dwayne McKoy was also selected as the Public Relation Officer for the Kingston Advisor Council on October 16, 2009
